What I noticed about a different culture

Having traveled a lot through-out my life, I have noticed that other cultures are a lot more respectful to pedestrians then we are here in America, or New York for sure. In places such as Aruba, Mexico, Israel and several other places, I noticed that drivers let through anyone crossing the street even if the pedestrian is crossing at the wrong time or in the middle of the block. Everyone always stops and patiently waits. Here in New York particularly, everyone is in such a rush and doesn't care for others. Drivers haveeee to be first, and often don't even let people pass, especially cabs! We might be so used to this that we don't even pay attention, but once you are in a place where they are so nice to pedestrian's you really start to notice. It's nice to have drivers stop and wait for you to cross without honking the horn. It's really nice!!!

All About Renata

Okay, so as the title implies, my name is Renata and I am a junior here at Baruch College. I am studying finance and majoring in communications. After I complete my 4 years here at Baruch, I plan to go to law school so I still have a long way to go. I love law and it is a big interest of mine but I chose to major in finance because I want to have a solid back up plan just in case law fails for some reason.
I currently reside in Staten Island and prior to moving there 10 years ago, I lived in Brooklyn. I live with my parents and cat, and have an older sister which lives down the block (she just couldn't be far away from mommy lol). My sister is married and has a daughter; she is the cutest girl in the world!
As for work, I am a medical billing manager. I also have my own private costume jewelry company. I loveeee jewelry, and you might notice me in something different everyday lol. Additionally, I actually really like to sing, and am a pretty good singer. I never tried to pursue anything with this little talent of mine but maybe one day I'll make some attempt.
